That's why I mentioned bars and clubs. Fests, for me, are mostly a non-starter these days. They are expensive and I only get so many days of vacation, most of which I choose to spend with my girlfriend who loves live music but isn't too keen on the camping for four days without a shower thing(I do go to at least one fest per year with friends).

As a regular thing, bars, clubs and small theaters are the places to get shows that go late. I've seen at least 10 shows that went from 830-9pm to 2-3am in the past 6 months in my home city in upstate New York. They were all small though (at most a couple hundred people).

I've never seen a show at an arena or amphitheater that went more than a little later than midnight unless it was New Years Eve...and I've seen hundreds of large shows like that. The venues just don't allow it.
